rvss.eel When Lubomyr Melnyk plays a piano it often sounds like two people are playing, so when he plays two pianos simultaneously, it sounds like a group of four, or perhaps more. In many of his recordings he is joined by another instrument, but because here he is accompanied by himself, this will always remain one of my favorites of his. I can picture the music in the cover photo, a steady stream of droplets of water, moving together as a river across an ever evolving bed of flashing rocks. Favorite track: NICHE NOURISH Part 2A.

NICHE NOURISH is remarkable too .... a glistening waterfall of tonality, dancing in the sunlight, for TWO PIANOS .... it is an ear-full of delicious rain!
This is an ANALGO recording from 1989, using the YAMAHA Self-recording Grand PIano, full concert grand, so that BOTH trakcs are acutally played "live" .. one by me, and one by the polayer-concert grand .... so the best sound. David Kelln was the sound engineer whose input was greatly valued! It is nearly impossible to find such a concertg grand piano any more. I would love to a large enough ticket audience that I could afford to bring such a piano with me to my concerts ! I know everyone would love the sound !

This piece is a Stream Of Sound pouring from the two pianos ! It is all "Sparkle And Shine" with a, very, very rapid rainfall of harmonized tones from the two pianos. Total of 60 minutes long ! in two 30 minute sections.
I recorded both pianos, using a Yamaha full concert Grand piano, with self-playing /reply capacities, in 1988. I love this piece, for its sunshine and magnetic waterfall of sprinkled tones... it feels to me like taking a shower inside a Rainbow .... really Meditative, but very active!
